The path to the Thermal Baths

THA PATH TO THE THERMAL BATHS

Along the Via Salaria that connected Rome to the Adriatic for the transport of salt, the ancient Romans used to stop at Acquasanta ( Ad Aquas ), known ever since for the healing power of its sulphurous waters.

A real spa already existed in 1851 and today the Terme di Acquasanta are renowned for the high quality of the practiced treatments.

Recently reopened, the panoramic route surrounded by greenery leads us from Santa Maria (Vicus ad Aquas ) to the sulphurous springs of Lu Vurghe . It awaits anyone who wants a nice regenerating bath in temperate waters.
